PDO Thread Lift

PDO stands for Poly-di-oxanone

It's a synthetic dissolvable & absorbable surgical suture composed of PDO used in surgery especially cardiac surgery.  It's one of the safest materials implanted in the human body.

When used in Cosmetic Medicine for lifting and volumizing procedures, it's absorbed by the skin within 3-6 months and it does not leave any scars behind.  As it dissolves, it stimulates the body's production of natural collagen.  So, it's used to lift any skin such as over the Face, Lips, Eyebrows, Marionette Lines, Jawls, Cheeks, Neck, Decollete, Breasts, Buttocks, and wrinkled skin just above Elbow and Knees.  One of the best procedures for the lower 1/3 of the face & neck is a PDO Thread Lift.

As we age, our face's natural youthful "V-Shape" begins to invert as the skin loses its collagen & structural fat layers.  The sagging nature of the aging facial structures cause the V-Shape to become inverted (^).  The PDO Threads procedure's intent is to restore the youthful "V-Shape" of the face by lifting and correcting areas of loose skin.  There are three types of thread:  Barbs, Twists and Smooth for different applications.  The link below will describe the technique further.
